The Chief Architect for Nationwide Financial, Jim Grafmeyer is focused on “building delightful digital applications.” A graduate of The University of Toledo, Jim holds degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering and has held various roles in technology at both Progressive Insurance and Nationwide Insurance throughout his career.
In addition to his work with Nationwide, Jim recently joined the Board of the Dublin Community Foundation, after looking for ways to become more involved with the community. While Nationwide has a long history of supporting the Mid-Ohio Food Collective and he and his family have frequently volunteered, he notes, “The pandemic made me realize that I need to spend more time helping those in need.”
Jim credits current DCF Board Member, Bob Fathman, for connecting him with the DCF. At the same time that Jim was looking to get more involved with the community and to donate time for a good cause, “[Bob] made the connection to my software development background and the current needs of the board.”
Jim and his wife, Julie, live in Muirfield Village with their 11-year old son, Parker. While Julie is a Nurse Practitioner focused on health and wellness, Parker is an avid soccer player who will start 7th grade in the Fall. “We love the outdoors, especially hiking in National Parks.”
