A CPA, Christy Zimmerman is Director of Tax and Business Advisory Services at GBQ Partners, through which she became involved with the Dublin Community Foundation in February, 2021. When a vacancy became available on the Board, a colleague at GBQ who had previously served reached out to Christy. “I was happy to step in as I have lived in Dublin for 20+ years and am familiar with many of the organizations the Foundation supports.”

Christy said she was excited for the opportunity to serve on the board, and looked forward to getting involved to further support those organizations and others like them that serve the Dublin community.  

Christy and her husband, Tom, have been married for 24 years, moving to Dublin in 1999. They have two sons, Nic and Owen, who are students at Miami University. While growing up, they were avid athletes and participated in many sports, including hockey, football, baseball, and golf.

What do you like to do in your free time? 

I play tennis and hope to learn pickleball this summer. 

What are you listening to, reading, or watching? 

I recently jumped on the murder mystery bandwagon. I have been listening to Crime Junkie and My Favorite Murder podcasts. I also enjoy reading non-fiction and am so happy live sports are back on TV!  

Why would you encourage others to get involved with or donate to the DCF?

DCF supports your neighbors and local community.  We all benefit from making Dublin a better place.

Do you volunteer with any other organizations?

I have volunteered for many years in various capacities at St. Brigid and for all the sports teams my kids played on through middle/high school.
