TAASC was formed in 1997 to enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities through sports and recreational activities. The $5,000 grant from The Dublin Foundation will be used to complete the final phase of the TAASC Adventure Center. The 100 percent volunteer-operated organization utilizes the Adventure Center to provide a place for all residents to enjoy the outdoors and sports activities, such as sailing, fishing and kayaking. By welcoming the greater community, TAASC is educating the general public about the organization’s mission and the ways that people with disabilities can enjoy adventure sports.
