KidSMILES was founded in 2008 by Jim Homon, DDS, a local orthodontist and 25-year Dublin resident. The mission of the organization is to provide quality dental care and education to children at an affordable cost. Currently, there is a segment of children whose families struggle to afford dental services, but are not eligible for Medicaid. What makes KidSMILES unique is that families will not need to prequalify financially or otherwise to receive care, and the organization will provide a variety of dental services for just $10 per visit. The clinic will be located on Bethel Road with the ultimate goal of treating 10,000 pediatric patients each year.
