Key Takeaways From The Big Table Conversation

By Erica Newell

On August 29, The Dublin Community Foundation hosted a Big Table conversation right here in Dublin, Ohio. This conversation was one of many that took place across central Ohio – thousands of people representing different backgrounds, neighborhoods, and interest groups participated in hundreds of conversations to discuss how to create a strong and connected community.

Our conversation took place at MJ2 Marketing in Historic Dublin over a delicious lunch catered by Dublin’s own Tracy Mitchell (Trix’s Fixins). Representatives from Dublin City Schools, The City of Dublin, Ohio Health, and other Dublin businesses and nonprofits participated in this thoughtful discussion.

We discussed a few of the things we love about Dublin, which included; collaboration, community, academics, thankfulness, athletics, inclusiveness, and more. “People in Dublin are looking to put more into the world than they are taking from it,” said Chris Northup, Chair, The Dublin Community Foundation.
