Application Procedure
The Dublin Foundation welcomes grant applications from non-profit, tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) organizations serving the Dublin community and immediately surrounding communities. Grants are awarded quarterly by the Foundation. Any applications received after the deadline has expired will not be considered until the next Dublin Foundation Board meeting. The purpose of the application due date is to ensure that all applications are reviewed for completeness and accuracy. Keep in mind the Dublin Foundation Board of Governors is composed of members representing Dublin residents, businesses, schools, community, and civic organizations. They appreciate the effort the applicants make to create project ideas and are supportive of quality projects that will benefit the Dublin community.
The Dublin Foundation identified the following fields as priorities for granting: (Board to Complete: i.e. health, recreation, education, safety, cultural activities, social services, civic, and charitable endeavors.
The Dublin Foundation considers the following criteria for grant evaluation:
- The project is likely to continue and expand after the grant period expires
- All funding avenues have been/will be explored by the applicant
- Grant award will serve as "seed money" for new and dynamic projects
- Support would be vital or catalytic to the project’s success
- Project stimulates cooperation among agencies without duplication of services
- Compliance of grantee with reporting requirements for any prior awards
- Grant request is compatible with the Dublin Foundation mission.
Attend a Dublin Foundation Grant Workshop or contact the Dublin Chamber of Commerce for the name of a Dublin Foundation Governor who can assist you with the application if necessary.
Unless further information is requested, the Board will discuss and approve or deny the funding request after the Board meeting. The applicant will be notified of their decision within one week.
If the request is approved, you will be asked to submit a press release regarding the Dublin Foundation’s contribution to your organization. This press release will be sent to the Dublin Villager and the Dublin News. This request is made in the hope that other worthy organizations may be encouraged to apply for Dublin Foundation grants.
Once the press release is received, a check for the amount requested will be forwarded to your organization.
A follow-up outcome and expenditure report will be due thirty days after the project completion date. If the report is not provided, future grant consideration may be denied.
